I was looking for a way to share essential oils with my friends, colleagues & clients for the holidays this year. I thought foot soak bombs would be nice. After looking at several websites for recipes on how to make fizzy bath bombs, I decided on a recipe that uses only 1/4c citric acid (because it is challenging to source at the last minute & can be expensive).
I made two batches to start. One with peppermint essential oil & one with lavender. I want to make a YL Thieves (R) batch also, but I need to buy more baking soda first.
The making process was fairly easy and didn't take long. The recipe suggests allowing the fizzy bombs to dry for about 4 hours. While the bombs dry, your house will smell like the fragrance you used.
The weather was spectacular today, so I went for a walk with the dog. I came home, stretched, showered & got the basin ready. It turns out that the bombs are very fragile. So I used one that I broke in the process of removing it from the mold. It fizzed & smelled really nice. I'm looking forward to using another one soon.
Was looking for this recipe! Great idea
